Food and Dry White Wine

The accompanying food must be well thought out when drinking an alcoholic beverage like a Dry White Wine. It is not a good idea to drink a dry white and eat food all willy nilly. The full range of delights that the wine can bring to people will not be experienced by the people that are drinking it and eating the food. Since pairing wine with food is a concept that bothers many people the most, many have adopted the method of just buying the wine off the shelf and hope to whatever God is there that is will pan itself out. This mostly works but there are also a lot of times that it does not work at all since Pan is the God of Wine.

Matching the color of the food to the Dry White Wine is a good rule of thumb to follow. For dishes that use fish, chicken and pork that has a very light color after being cooked and prepared, then it is a very good indication that the white wine will pair wonderfully. For dishes that use an ingredient like beef that has a dark hue after being prepared and cooked, then it is a very good indication that a Red Wine will complement the meal. There are also some allowances to be made for the course it is in for color to indicate the wine to be consumed along with the type of food. Despite these allowances, Color is still a good rule of thumb to follow and it is easy to remember in any case.

Pairing the food and Dry White Wine to the person would also be a good method to follow if it is a good indication that your choices will not be up to par. It is not a good idea to force people to drink the wine that has been opened for the sake of finishing off a bottle. Different people have different preferences to what they like. Since most people do not have a predilection to wine, they would not want to drink at all. However if the people want to drink wine, provide 2 or 3 different selections. This ensures that the paired wine to the food will have a higher success rate.
