Some other items that are necessary are not automatically everyday household items including siphon hose, hose clamp and hydrometer.

Homemade beer has a long life-span and like many wines gets better tasting when it ages. However, after a bottle has been opened it will only maintain its carbonation for a few weeks so it is best to drink it within two weeks.

With a little bit of patience anyone can make beer at home potentially creating a new and exciting hobby for many years to come.
