The Appropriate Activity for Fall Weddings

A celebration can’t be complete without entertainment.  But selecting the kind of entertainment should suit the type of celebration, otherwise the whole occasion will, of course, sort of fall apart.  Music and entertainment are the controlling elements that keep the guests  on their toes and peeks their attention, especially when there is a lull in the program.  This is a fact for weddings as well as other important events.  So before a couple hires somebody to perform at the reception on their special day, they should consider a lot of elements.

First, what’s the main theme of the wedding?  Just like the rest – the décor, the food, the wedding favors, the invitations – the entertainment must coincide with the concept the couple chooses.  They can’t employ an opera singer for a barnyard-inspired fall wedding, for instance, since it basically does not fit.

Will music be provided by a live band or a DJ?   While there is totally nothing wrong with getting a DJ handle the entertainment throughout a wedding, live bands seem to have a different effect on the guests.  A stage filled with musicians brings more life to the event than recorded music played by a DJ.  A live band is also more versatile (provided they are professionals) and can take a cue from the manner the guests are acting if there’s a demand to liven up the event a bit more.

Whether the couple go for a live band or a DJ, it’s significant that the person(s) they employ are dependable enough to do the job well.  The band or DJ must be settled and ready before the guests start coming to the location.  They should likewise be able to “read” the guests’ mood.

But the perfect entertainment for fall weddings don’t have to be limited to the music.  Guests can be entertained by adding other kinds of entertaining activities.  There can be a square dance, for instance, wherein guests are welcomed to take part; or a kind of raffle do guests can draw prizes from the pumpkin decorations or the autumn wedding favors next to their plates; or trivia where guests can answer questions regarding either the bride or groom.

There’s actually no strict rule as to what type of entertainment is ideal, just like there aren’t any right or wrong fall wedding favors, or incorrect décor.  The thing that makes a wedding and the rest perfect is when the guests depart with a light heart and smile on their faces.
